Jim Montgomery’s frustration with how the Bruins started last two games and played overall in Game 5 and 6 does not extended to his goalie.
As Boston gets set to face Toronto in a winner-take-all Game 7, he wants his team to be like Jeremy Swayman.

“We need everybody to be more like Jeremy Swayman,” Montgomery said. “He’s in the moment. He’s staying in the moment and he’s relishing being a difference-maker.”
Swayman’s 1.60 goals against average and .947 save percentage are the best among goalies to have started three or more postseason games.
Swayman expects to be ready himself and for the Bruins to be ready to bounce back in Game 7 despite their struggles in Game 5 and 6.
“I think we all understand that in playoffs, every game is a Game 7. That’s the intensity we all want to bring every night,” he said. “When we get to an actual Game 7 it should be another day in the office for us. We prepared the right way. We’re expecting their best. They’re expecting our best. That’s what makes Game 7 so special.”
Charlie Coyle said the Bruins are choosing to embrace the moment.
“Before the season if you said to any of us, ‘do you want to play in the Game 7 in the first round to move on?’ We’d have all jumped at that opportunity. It doesn’t matter how we got to this Game 7,” Coyle said. “They’ve won three games, we’ve won three games. It’s a one game series. We like our team and we’re excited for this chance to play at the Garden. There’s nothing better.”
