Hampus Lindholm participated in Bruins practice again and will be a game-time decision for Saturday’s game against the Avalanche in Denver.
“He looks better. I would say yes, but we’ll decide right before the game,” Marco Sturm said.
Lindholm has been out of action since the first period of the second game when he suffered a lower-body injury in Boston’s win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Jordan Harris, who signed with the Bruins as a free agent during the offseason, played well in his spot al;ong side Andrew Peeke, with an assist against Buffalo and a goal on Monday in the 4-3 loss to Tampa.
Lindholm, who skated before the team on Monday, practiced with Peeke, his regular partner at practice with Harris roatating through. The Bruins were confident enough in his ability to return that they didn’t bring an extra defenseman on the road trip.
It wasn’t clear what caused the injury. Lindholm played six shifts and was last on the ice with just over 8 minutes left in the first period. After that game, Sturm characterized the injury as minor.
Lindholm, who suffered a kneecap injury on Nov. 12, 2024 and never returned last year, was fully healthy in training camp and played 20:01 against the Capitals in Boston’s season opener on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
Lindholm returned to practice on Wednesday in Las Vegas, but didn’t play Thursday against the Golden Knights in the Bruins’ 6-5 loss.
