Brookline home invasion suspects plead not guilty; 3rd suspect sought, police say

The two men arrested in connection with a masked, armed home invasion in Brookline in July pleaded not guilty to several charges during their arraignment on Wednesday, with a third man believed to be involved being sought by detectives, Brookline police said in a press release.

Manuel Alicea, 31, of Tewksbury, and Dominic Harden, 34, of Lowell, pleaded not guilty at their arrangement at Brookline District Court on Wednesday, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office in the statement by police.

Both men were ordered held without bail pending a hearing on Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. under the Commonwealth’s Dangerousness Statute, the statement read.

Alicea and Harden were charged with home invasion, conspiracy, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and larceny of $1,200.

At around 2:19 a.m. on July 18, police arrived at 45 Warren St. after receiving a report about an armed robbery, police said in a statement. Multiple masked people “forced entry to the residence and assaulted an occupant in the home,” police added.

Police added that detectives are “actively seeking a third party in connection with this crime.” They released a warrant for Corey Buchanan, 31, of Lowell.

Officers said he is wanted for home invasion, conspiracy, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card and discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

Anyone with information about Buchanan was asked to call Brookline police at 617-730-2222.
