‘Bring your hot rides’: Car meet planned for Mass. teen who died in N.H. shooting

The Athol, Massachusetts, community is coming together on Sunday to hold a car meet in honor of 17-year-old Christian Walker, who was killed in a shooting in Keene, New Hampshire, on Wednesday.

The car meet will be held at 10 a.m. on June 29 in the Athol Hobby Lobby parking lot.

“Public lot, leave the bulls— at home bring your hot rides car, truck, motorcycle, he loved it all through and through,” the event on Facebook reads.

Walker was shot in the abdomen in a parking lot on Winchester Street, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella’s office. He was taken to Cheshire Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:49 a.m.

Walker’s death was ruled a homicide.

“While the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation, all parties involved have been identified and there is no known threat to the general public at this time,” the statement read.

Formella’s office did not provide any information about a potential suspect or if there have been any arrests.
