Brew Park: Springfield’s new food truck hub (Review, video, photos)

Springfield has a new food destination in what used to be the lot of a car dealership.

Boston Road is the new home of Brew Park, a food truck hub with ample space for multiple trucks with a goal to give customers access to a variety of flavors in one fun location.

When MassLive visited Brew Park in mid-June, there were eight truck options to choose from, ranging from a variety of Hispanic foods, to mac and cheese bowls made to order — there was no shortage of options.

The Mac’N Cheese egg rolls topped with sweet potato from Crav’n Crumbs food truck by owner DeVonna Green were delicious. There was a good blend of savory and sweet wrapped in a crunchy shell; it’s a beautiful and familiar pairing in a convenient package for those on the go.

The Mofongo bowl with steak and shrimp out of the Papi Platanos food truck was also delectable. A generous serving of mashed and seasoned plantains forms the bed that caramelized onions, peppers, steak and shrimp topped with their signature sauce on top.

Many of the food trucks feature beepers that will alert you when your order is complete, so you can relax on one of the picnic tables while you wait. While there are plenty of options for seating, plenty of parking is available if you want to eat in your car, or tailgate style.

The truck lineups vary, and each vendor maintains their own hours. However, the trucks are generally open just before lunch and until around dinnertime or until food runs out.

Brew Park can be found at 484 Boston Road in Springfield.
