When Paul MacGregor began attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a student in 1996, he remembers not enjoying the food, eating what he described as a “chicken puck” sandwich almost every day.
But in 1996, the food tasted a lot different, said MacGregor, who is now the assistant regional manager at UMass Amherst dining.
