Athol boys basketball bested Narragansett Regional at home, 61-39 behind a strong performance from Ben Kearney on Friday.
The Bears scored early and often, leading 20-7 at the end of the first and never looked back. The Mariners managed to keep up in the second quarter, but the Bears still led by fourteen at the half. However, the hosts turned up the heat once more in the third, expanding the lead beyond 20 and ultimately won by a comfortable margin.
