Boston homicide detectives investigating Charlestown death

Boston Police Homicide Detectives are leading an investigation into a person’s death in Charlestown, police said.

Officers went to Shipway Place in Charlestown around 10:39 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Detective John Boyle, the department’s chief spokesman, wrote in an email. Homicide detectives were requested and are leading a death investigation, Boyle said.

Shipway Place is the location of a luxury condo complex in Charlestown’s Navy Yard.

The exact details of the incident were not immediately clear.

Last month, 46-year-old Joseph Donahue was found shot in a parking lot in the Boston neighborhood. Police arrested 45-year-old David Menezes, of Charlestown, in connection with Donahue’s death.
