Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers and The Killers will headline Boston Calling this year, but they are not the only notable acts taking the stage at the 3-day festival.
The headliners will be joined by more than 50 artists, including more than 20 acts from the Northeast.
To highlight these local artists, MassLive will publish profiles on the acts leading up to the festival’s May 24 start date.

Boston hip-hop artist Kei will be playing her biggest stage yet when she performs on the Orange Stage at Boston Calling on Friday, May 24.
“Being able to showcase myself and represent Boston at one of the largest festivals in the city is the biggest blessing I could have received,” the musician told MassLive.
A Dorchester native, Kei said “music has been a part of my life before I was even born.”
“With my father being a producer, his love and passion for music was something that inspired me very early on,” she said. “I wrote poetry and songs growing up which led to my love for dancing and choreographing.”
Kei started making her own music in 2021 and released her debut EP “Baby Steps” the same year. The musician said the project got her some recognition in the local music scene.
A year later, Kei won a Boston Music Award for Best New Artist. Now the hip-hop artist is looking to extend her resume with her first-ever Boston Calling performance, which is also her first time attending the festival.
“It’s such an honor to be amongst such amazingly talented individuals from the city,” Kei said. “I’m so grateful to have an opportunity like this and be a part of the conversation.”
Kei is especially proud to be sharing the festival’s stage with her peers like Billie Dean Thomas, ToriTori, Cakeswagg, and Zola Simone. You can learn more about Kei’s career by visiting her website.
Boston Calling will take place Memorial Day Weekend from Friday, May 24, until Sunday, May 26, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston.
