WESTFIELD – Emotions were running high at Westfield High School’s swim meet and for good reason Tuesday night. The Bombers swam for several causes, celebrating “Senior Night” and honoring a local hero who recently went missing and died during a special operation for the Navy SEALS.
“Senior night in Westfield … always brings out an array of emotions,” Westfield swim coach Tom Lewis said. “There is always joy in celebrating the commitment and success of the seniors competing in their last dual meet, and there is always a sense of sadness in the realization that you’re saying goodbye to friends and teammates.”
