The Bengals are preparing for their “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, but the status of their quarterback remains unknown.
Joe Burrow re-aggravated his calf injury in Cincinnati’s Week 2 loss and told reporters he was pretty sore after the game. It’s unclear if he’ll practice on Thursday, and coach Zac Taylor wasn’t committal to Burrow being on the field.
“Just taking it day to day now. We’ll see,” Taylor told reporters. “I doubt it’d be full if he’s out there. We’ll see. Soreness is an issue right now ,so giving him some time is best.”

While Burrow was walking with a slight limp after Sunday’s game, Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway reported the QB wasn’t in a boot on Monday while he was in the locker room, but he was still slightly limping.
The good news for Bengals fans, though, is that Burrow was seen walking to practice with his helmet on and a compression sleeve on his right leg.
Burrow originally strained his calf in July during training camp that caused him to miss the remainder of practices and didn’t play in any of the Bengals’ preseason games. He, like his team, is off to a slow start to 2023 and hasn’t looked like himself in the last two games.

Taylor told reporters earlier this week that it’s “hard to say” if Burrow will play in Week 3, but him being present at practice is certainly a positive sign.
