Baystate Noble Ball supports new wellness center for Westfield hospital

WESTFIELD — It was “about time” for support of a new wellness center at Baystate Noble Hospital.

The hospital hosted its 57th annual Baystate Noble Ball on Nov. 4. The theme, “It’s About Time,” was a nod to the start of daylight saving time the next night. Playing into the theme was “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired décor, complete with clocks, Mad Hatter hats, and life-sized gardens. Hundreds of supporters were immersed in an exciting evening, enjoying dinner, dancing, and a competitive auction for items such as a Cape Cod getaway and local artwork.

Proceeds from the ball will support the new Baystate Noble Health & Wellness Center, to be built in Westfield. The center is intended to make health care such as routine exams and specialty appointments more convenient and accessible. It will be a one stop, timesaving, and time-sensitive greater Westfield community resource.

“We are grateful to the attendees and sponsors of the Baystate Noble Ball. Your support helps fuel the work we’re doing at Baystate Noble Hospital each day,” said Ron Bryant, president of Baystate Health Regional Hospitals. “Thank you for helping to keep this vital care accessible in the Greater Westfield area. We are incredibly proud to be part of this community.”

The recipient of the Baystate Noble Spirit award was Dr. Sundeep “Sunny” Shukla, chief of emergency services at Baystate Noble Hospital. Shukla’s dedication, positive disposition and leadership were celebrated as part of the evening.
