
Throughout the 2025-2026 basketball season, MassLive will release updated boys basketball power rankings for the Bay State Conference.
Here’s a look at the top teams in this week’s updated rankings.
- Newton North (7-3, No. 1)
- Needham (9-1, No. 2)
- Brookline (7-2, No. 3)
- Walpole (6-3, No. 5)
- Milton (7-4) (No. 6)
- Natick (4-5, No. 7)
- Wellesley (3-7, No. 4)
- Braintree (5-5, No. 8)
- Framingham (2-7, No. 10)
- Weymouth (0-9, No. 9)
The middle and back end of the top 10 saw changes this week.
Walpole pushed higher into the top 5 following back to back wins over Worcester North and Weymouth. Ryan McDonald continues to lead the team in scoring. His season-high so far this winter is 37 points coming against Milton on Dec. 16. The Timberwolves’ next game is on Thursday against Norwood on the road.
Milton moved into the top 5 following a win over Canton and a loss to Needham. Cole Fletcher has continued to play like one of the conference’s best guards and is one of the team’s leaders in scoring. The Wildcats’ next game is on Sunday against Canton on the road.
Natick slid up to No. 6 following a win over Wellesley. The program’s next game is on Thursday against Weymouth.
