Natick made a late regular season push into the top 5 in this week’s rankings.
The program picked up a big win over Brookline on Jan. 29, pushing it into the top half of the rankings. The team also has good resume wins against Newton North and Wellesley from earlier this season. Colin Bubonovich and James Mortarelli continue to be two of the team’s top scorers this winter.
The program will try to carry its positive momentum forward on Friday when it plays Walpole on the road.
Following wins over Newton North and Brookline in the last week, Wellesley is surging down the stretch. Eamon Kundo put up 29 points in the win over the Tigers, leading Wellesley to its first win over Newton North in 15 years. The program will try and keep its positive momentum rolling on Thursday when it takes on Braintree.
Needham held down the top spot again this week and is currently on a seven-game winning streak. Its most recent win came against Framingham on the road on Tuesday.
Senior captains Andrew Chen, Foster Wilinski, Ben Marino and Matthew Cloonan continue to lead the program through its best season since 2023 when the program made the Division I state championship game. The program’s next game is on Friday on the road against Braintree.
