The top 5 had some movement heading into the final week of the regular season.
Needham and Newton North stood strong in the top two spots, but Milton moved into the top 3 for the first time this winter.
The Wildcats locked down an auto-bid in the Division II state tournament with a win over Weymouth on Feb. 6. The program is currently on a three-game winning streak, including the win against Weymouth, one against Walpole and another against Braintree. Dylan Raffle and Cole Fletcher continue to be the team’s top scorers.
The program closes out its regular season with games in the George Burke Invitational in Quincy on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
Amidst all the movement in the bottom of the top 5 and the middle of the rankings, Brookline moved up a spot to No. 4. The team has won two of its last four, winning most recently against Framingham on Tuesday. The Warriors close out their regular season with games against Boston Latin, Abington and Albert D. Holland School of Technology.
Currently on a nine-game winning streak, Needham held onto its top spot with ease. The team’s most recent win came against Walpole on Tuesday. The team will really see what it’s made of starting Thursday when it takes on BC High before playing reigning Div. II state finalist Malden Catholic this weekend.
