Bay State Conference Girls Hockey Rankings: Milton, Natick lead the pack

After making it to the Division II state final last season, Milton girls hockey is off to a hot start this year. Their lone game was a 7-0 win Walpole on Wednesday, giving them the top spot in the Bay State power rankings after the first week.

Right behind them are the Redhawks, the best team in the Carey Division last season.

Also starting the year strong is Braintree, which won two games total last season.

Coming in fourth this week are the Warriors who beat the Rockets 7-0 on Wednesday for their first victory. Just after Brookline is Newton North, which tied with Framingham before beating Wellesley 3-2 Wednesday night.

After falling to Brookline, No. 8 Needham will look to bounce back in the game of the week, traveling to face Braintree Saturday afternoon.
