Baby’s body found at recycling facility in Massachusetts

The body of a baby was found at a recycling facility in Massachusetts on Thursday.

Employees at Harvey Waste recycling facility on Cranberry Highway in Rochester said they found the baby’s body in the recycling products. They then called 911 around 10:40 a.m. Thursday.

“All processing was stopped, and the Rochester Police began investigating,” the Rochester Police Department said in a Facebook post.

No other information was released. Officials said the Rochester Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and the Medical Examiner’s Office were continuing to investigate as of Thursday afternoon.

In April, another baby’s body had been found at the same facility.

The newborn was found in a trash collection that appears to have originated from Martha’s Vineyard and was shipped there for disposal, Massachusetts State Police said in a statement.
