Area residents asked to complete survey to help with open space plan

SOUTHWICK — For the second time in less than two weeks, the DPW’s Water Division is announcing a mandatory water restriction of all non-essential outdoor water use because of the low flow of the Westfield River.

“We’ve been hovering around the red zone for a few weeks now,” said Assistant DPW Director Jon Goddard about the flow rate of the river that triggers the restrictions.
