People who visit the home of Rick and Angela Kowal in Belchertown can still see evidence of the stray bullet that hit their home in December 2022 and penetrated an outside wall. It’s a reminder that even in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by woods, strange things can happen.
The Kowals and other people who live in the Mountain View Drive area are rightly determined to get to the bottom of the source of that and other wayward bullets. Last June, a bullet also struck the home of Andrew and Christine Rachlin, shattered glass on their front door. Two other homes were also hit by bullets.
