‘American Idol’ reveals this season’s Top 24 contestants after Hollywood week

As Hollywood week wraps up on Season 23 of “American Idol,” fans of the show are one step closer to selecting the next winner.

Judges Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan confirmed all members of the Top 24 on Monday night’s episode of the singing competition, which showed 42 “Idol” hopefuls entering a “head to head” duet challenge.

Contestants who advanced during Monday night’s episode include Thunderstorm Artis, Drew Ryn, Ché Chesterman, Penny Samar, Grayson Torrence, MKY, Josh King, Victor Solomon, Amanda Barise, Kyana Fanene, Slater Nalley, Kolbi Jordan, Filo, John Foster, Olivier Bergeron, Baylee Littrell, Isaiah Misailegalu, Desmond Roberts, Jamal Roberts, and Breanna Nix.

The 20 contenders join Gabby Samone, Zaylie Windsor, Mattie Pruitt, and Canaan James Hill, who secured their spot in the Top 24 during Sunday night’s “showstoppers” episode.

When the final round of Hollywood week concluded, the judges shared news about the next phase of the competition, which will take place at Aulani, a Disney resort and spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii.

“We are gonna take y’all to a very special place where dreams have actually come true,” said Bryan.

“We are going home to Hawaii, I cannot believe it!” said Thunderstorm Artis, who was born in the state.

The next two episodes of the competition will take place at the resort, which was previously featured in Seasons 20, 21, and 22. For the first time this season, viewers will be able to vote for their favorite performers and help decide who advances in the competition.
