After long labor dispute, Springfield Symphony seeks new audiences and stability

SPRINGFIELD – Eight months after signing a two-year labor pact with its musicians, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra is taking steps to build its audience — and its bankroll.

One step winds the clock back with many performances at 4 p.m. rather than at night. The earlier start time was used for the Holiday Pops and a concert coming up in March.
