After crash, Mass. car winds up stuck in tree 10 feet in the air

Longmeadow officials responded to an unusual call on Thursday evening — a car suspended 10 feet in the air among a group of trees.

The regional dispatch office got a call about the incident at 7:45 p.m., which stated there was a crash involving a car and a tree at the intersection of Converse Street and Redfern Drive, according to a Facebook post from the Longmeadow Fire Department.

When the fire and police departments got there, they found the car in the air with two people trapped inside needing rescue.

The two people were evacuated and there were no reported injuries, according to the fire department.

Fire officials were not immediately available for comment on Friday morning.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
