WESTFIELD — While characterizing the staff at the city’s DPW as caring about their service to the public and proud of their teamwork, a consulting firm hired by the city to review the department found it needs additional staff and called for realignments of current divisions.
“What is meaningful for this city is what fits for the unique character of this city,” said Andrea Brinkley, a senior consultant for professional services firm BerryDunn, who presented the firm’s findings in Council Chambers of City Hall Monday.
