SPRINGFIELD — State Sen. Adam Gomez declared victory in his quest for a third term on Beacon Hill, fighting off a challenge from City Councilor Malo Brown in Tuesday’s primary election.
With no Republican running for the seat on November’s ballot, the race was decided through Tuesday’s vote. Unofficial numbers show Gomez won by a three-to-one margin, receiving 7,159 votes to Brown’s 2,986.
