Queer Eye is ending its run on Netflix after announcing its 10th and final season.
The show, launched in 2018, follows five queer style experts, known as the “Fab Five,” who coach men and women through lifestyle makeovers. This includes improvements on their diets, grooming, fashion, interior design and cultural experiences.
The show’s cast members celebrated the announcement of its new season in a Netflix post shared on X, which included a photo of the show’s current stars, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Jeremiah Brent and Karamo Brown.
“10 Seasons. Fab Five. One last go ‘round,” the streaming service wrote on Wednesday, July 9. “The final season of Queer Eye is officially in production!”
The final series of “Queer Eye” has begun production in Washington, D.C., Netflix wrote in a July 9 press release.
The season will feature “The Fab Five” returning “for one last round of unforgettable makeovers” and “will also honor the show’s enduring legacy.”
“It’s been a long, beautiful journey we’ve been on, and I truly appreciate all of the love and support for our little show, that changed my life in ways I never thought possible,” France wrote on Instagram. “As we begin our farewell season here on D.C I simply want to say thank you! Thank you!!!!!”
Van Ness also shared a message on Instagram, saying that “We are so excited to bring this finale to you, and excited for whats next.”
“Queer Eye” is the longest-running unscripted Netflix series and has earned 37 Emmy nominations and 11 wins during its run, Netflix said in its release. The show continues to also hold the record for the most wins in the Outstanding Structured Reality Program category, with six consecutive wins.
Additionally, “Queer Eye” has won multiple Critics Choice Real TV Awards and received a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Program.
“The Fab Five” have traveled to nine states and three countries for the show.
