A Fall River man convicted of robbing four banks within five days, and attempting to rob a fifth, was sentenced to serve four and a half years in federal prison, officials announced Friday.
William Sequeira, 60, pleaded guilty in June to four counts of bank robbery and one count of attempted bank robbery, according to the office of U.S. District Attorney Joshua Levy.
U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris sentenced Sequeria to 54 months in prison and three years of supervised release, Levy’s office said.
