Noah Song made his first appearance since returning to the Red Sox organization and it went well. He pitched 2 scoreless and hitless innings of relief for High-A Greenville against Greensboro on Wednesday. He allowed one walk and struck out three. He also hit one batter.
The Drive used five different pitchers in their 14-4 loss. Song was the only Greenville pitcher who didn’t allow a run.
Song pitched the fifth and sixth innings. All three strikeouts were swinging. He also got a flyout to left field, a flyout to right field and a groundout to second base. His four-seam fastball velocity was around 92-94 mph.
