Red Sox right-handed pitching prospect David Sandlin, who chief baseball officer Craig Breslow acquired from the Royals early in spring training, showed elite velocity for High-A Greenville and Double-A Portland. He topped out at 100.4 mph.
“It’s hard not to like the pure stuff,” Red Sox director of player development Brian Abraham said. “Obviously he’s got an incredible fastball. He’s got good secondaries. Power arm.”
