WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Law Enforcement Museum in Northwest D.C. has unveiled a new exhibit to highlight the creativity of officers across the nation, WJLA reported.
The exhibit, titled “Officers as Artists: The Creative Expression of Those Who Serve,” opened on Sept. 28, according to the report. It showcases a variety of artworks created by law enforcement officers, including paintings, photography sculptures and mosaics.
“Through this event, the museum aims to shed light on the role of art and discover the many ways in which creative expression serves law enforcement officers,” the exhibit’s organizers said in a press release.
Each artwork is accompanied by a story detailing the officer’s personal journey and how they use art as an outlet while serving in law enforcement, according to the report.
The exhibit will remain on display until August 30, 2025.
