Ex-Patriots LB suffers orbital bone fracture in Week 1; How other former players fared

Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books, and some old friends of the New England Patriots got off to a tough start.

Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy suffered an orbital bone fracture in Baltimore’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on “Thursday Night Football,” according to NFL Media’s Steve Wyche. Van Noy did not practice on Monday.

Van Noy is coming off a 2023 season in which he recorded a career-high nine sacks to go along with 30 tackles.

It’s unclear just how much time he will miss.

Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones also had a rough Week 1 when he was ejected in the fourth quarter for fighting with Los Angeles Chargers wideout Joshua Palmer.

Here’s how other former Patriots fared in Week 1:

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Stephon Gilmore: 4 tackles (3 solo, 1 assisted)

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers: 1 carry for 3 yards; 3 receptions for 61 yards

Baltimore Ravens WR Nelson Agholor: 1 catch, 6 yards

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Matthew Judon: 5 tackles (1 solo, 4 assisted), 0.5 sacks, 1 QB hit
