The days are about to get shorter and shorter as the fall and winter season approaches.
But when will sunsets be before 5 p.m.? Here’s what you need to know.
By Oct. 19, the sun will set at 6 p.m. in Massachusetts, according to the Farmer’s Almanac.
Over the next two weeks, the sun will continue setting earlier and earlier. However, it won’t set before 5 p.m. until daylight saving time impacts it.
Starting Nov. 3, the sun will set at about 4:39 p.m., giving Massachusetts residents about 10 hours and 17 minutes of daylight.
The exact time will vary depending on location.
Daylight saving timewill also end on Nov. 3.
At 2 a.m. on Nov. 3, clocks will fall back and many will (hopefully) get an extra hour of sleep that weekend. It will also allow there to be more light in the morning.
The sun will rise Nov. 2 around 7:30 a.m. But by Nov. 3, it will start rising around 6:30 a.m.
