A 36-year-old man was killed when a tractor-trailer hit him as he attempted to walk along Interstate 90 after crashing his tractor-trailer into a guardrail, according to Massachusetts State Police.
At around 9:45 a.m. Friday, State Police troopers were sent to an area of the highway in Blandford for a report of a tractor-trailer hitting the guardrail, State Police said in a statement. As troopers responded to the scene, they learned a pedestrian had been hit by a second tractor-trailer in the same area of the initial crash.
When troopers arrived, they found a man, later identified as Nicholas Charles, 36, of Mechanicville, N.Y., who had been hit by the second tractor-trailer, with fatal injuries, according to the statement.
