Boston is expanding electric vehicle charging network, bit by bit

Four years ago, the city of Boston set a lofty goal to help drastically reduce vehicle carbon emissions: by 2040, every resident should live within a 10-minute walk of an electric vehicle charger.

That goal has since sped up. City officials now describe hopes of all households falling within a five-minute walk of an EV charger not by 2040 but by 2030.
