Springfield high school students experience legal world through moot court

HADLEY — A group of Springfield high school students took part in a moot court last week, putting themselves into the shoes of lawyers and judges as they considered what kind of rights youths have when questioned by the police.

At the Hadley courthouse, 10 students from Springfield’s High School of Commerce reenacted the 2011 U.S. Supreme Court case J.D.B. v. North Carolina using their own notes.
