SOUTH HADLEY — When Pioneer Valley Health & Rehabilitation was purchased by Blupoint Healthcare last February, the new owners appeared to save the nursing home from closing. Employees believed it was a step in the right direction.
However, the South Hadley nursing home is now facing unpaid utilities, bounced paychecks, dwindling resources and understaffing.
Moreover, local staff say no one has been able to reach the facility’s corporate owners for answers. Blupoint Healthcare has not responded to The Republican’s request for comment on the facility’s operations and financial condition.
