Sparks’ Cameron Brink exits game against Sun after non-contact knee injury

UNCASVILLE — Less than four minutes into Tuesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun, Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink exited after she slipped and landed hard on her left knee.

Brink could not get up on her own and needed her teammates to help her back up. She gingerly limped toward the bench, clearly favoring her left leg, but as she reached the bench the Sparks’ training staff elected to lift and carry her off the court and towards the locker room.

Brink was not seen again for the rest of the game and was officially ruled out for the rest of the game at halftime with a non-contact left knee injury.

Brink was drafted second overall in the 2024 draft by the Sparks. She is averaging 8.1 points-per game and 5.7 rebounds-per game through the first 14 games of her career. She has started every game she’s played for the Sparks. Cameron Brink was selected to the 3×3 Olympic Team for the Paris Olympics.
