Both Jeremy Swayman and Sergei Bobrovsky have stood on their heads for the Bruins and the Panthers, respectively, throughout their second-round playoff series. That remained true Tuesday night when Swayman made 28 saves in Boston’s 2-1 Game 5 win to force a Game 6.
While the Bruins goalie made several key stops in Tuesday’s win, none was more crucial than the one on Sam Reinhart in the final seconds to help extend Boston’s season. After giving up five goals in Game 1, Bobrovsky — who made 26 stops in the ultimate loss — has settled in nicely and has allowed six goals in the last four games.
The goalies at both ends of the ice has made the series both entertaining and difficult for each team.

“They’re two elite goals. When they’re on their games, it’s fun to watch and tough to play against. It’s fun to watch Bob and then tough to play against (Swayman),” Aleksander Barkov told reporters in Florida after the game. “They’re really good goalies and there’s a reason a lot of people talk about them.”
Swayman has played all but one game throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs — Game 2 against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round. Despite Boston giving up six goals in Games 3 and 4, it certainly wasn’t indicative to how Swayman played.
Bobrovsky and Swayman both figure to be the starting goalies for Game 6 on Friday night when the series shifts back to Boston as the Bruins try to force a Game 7.
