Netflix series filming for several days in Massachusetts — Here’s where

A Netflix series will be filming at several locations on Martha’s Vineyard this week, according to the town of Oak Bluffs’ website.

A document posted to the website entitled, “Netflix Filming in Oak Bluffs,” states that “Netflix are filming in and around Oak Bluffs this week.”

The filming dates, locations and times are as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 15 — Filming in the Niantic Park area from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 16 — Filming in the East Chop area from 7 a.m. to midnight.
  • Friday, May 17 — Filming around the Circuit Avenue area from noon until 1 a.m.

CB Stark Jewelers, a local jewelry store in Vineyard Haven within the town of Tisbury, posted a video on Instagram showing camera crews rolling down the street.

“Excitement on Main Street while Netflix is filming the new Judy Blume film,” the video’s caption reads.

While Oak Bluffs did not specify which series was being filmed in the town, an article published by the Vineyard Gazette in April states that Netflix is filming an adaptation of Judy Blume’s book “Forever.”

The Netflix show will be an eight-part series, with one episode being shot on the Vineyard, according to the news outlet. Some film locations include Niantic Park, Back Door Donuts, the Flying Horses, Squibnocket Beach, the Steamship terminal and the Aquinnah Circle, according to the Vineyard Gazette.

MassLive has reached out to Netflix for confirmation.
