A local Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant is breaking into Boston for the first time.
Birdie’s Hot Chicken, which already has perches in Brockton and Westwood, will open its third location in Downtown Crossing “in the next few weeks,” owner Vivian Chow told MassLive on Thursday.
“The story of Birdies Hot Chicken started in 2018 when Vivian traveled to Nashville, Tennessee for a weekend getaway, not knowing this trip would change her life forever,” Birdie’s website reads. “When Vivian, a self-proclaimed ‘foodie,’ had her first taste of Nashville Hot Chicken, she saw the potential in it.”
This inspired Chow to launch her business and share her chicken with others. The Nashville hot chicken at Birdie’s comes in six spice levels from no spice to “Grim Reaper.”
Meanwhile Birdie’s menu consists of nine different combos, according to the restaurant’s website. Offerings include chicken tenders, sliders, loaded fries and salads.
