It might not have been obvious Tuesday when snow created a hazy white wonderland over the landscape, but anyone zipping by Wednesday could see — the Eastfield Mall is gone.
“We finished up on the building today. Nothing left standing, except sears,” Nick Yarbrough wrote Monday in the public Facebook group “Eastfield Mall 1967 – 2023,” which has almost 6,000 members since it was created last April. Yarbrough’s Facebook profile says he works with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 98.
