SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department has released dash camera footage from a high-speed pursuit of a drive-by shooting suspect, according to a news release.
The Nov. 22 pursuit began when officers spotted a vehicle reported stolen that was also believed to be associated with the shooting and a burglary, according to the release.
Video released on Feb. 5 shows the vehicle immediately begin to flee. It can be seen weaving through traffic and running red lights as the pursuit continues.
One cruiser performs a PIT maneuver, causing the suspect vehicle to spin around. The vehicle started to flee in reverse before other cruisers penned it in.
Video shows officers getting out of their cruisers and surrounding the suspect vehicle. An officer then smashed the driver’s side window and arrested the suspect. Multiple firearms were found inside the vehicle. A woman and three dogs that were in the vehicle were unharmed, according to the release.
