SOUTHWICK — With five parties interested in opening a recreational marijuana dispensary in town, Select Board member Diane Gale is pushing to have the application it will use to vet applicants adopted by the Select Board.
“We can use any criteria that we think is most beneficial to make an informed decision, but we shouldn’t use that criteria as a purpose to make it unduly burdensome,” Gale said about the advice she was provided by the town attorney on developing the application.
“We got to get an application going,” said Select Board Chair Douglas Moglin, with board member Jason Perron agreeing.
