WESTFIELD — A North Side warehouse at 323 Lockhouse Road is looking to expand, adding an assembly line, office space, and a shipping and receiving area to the existing 182,703-square foot building.
Paul Oliveira, of the Haynes Group construction firm working with EPRO Lockhouse Road LLC, told the Westfield Planning Board Jan. 2 that the assembly line would extrude metal for items like aluminum frames. The addition will require an upgrade of the electrical system and increase in the amount of gas used. The main warehouse building will remain a warehouse, said Rob Levesque, of R. Levesque Associates.
Compared to the previous tenant Agway, Levesque expects there to be less traffic than before.
