Brandin Cooks scored one of the two Cowboys touchdowns in their controversial 20-19 win over the Detroit Lions on “Thursday Night Football.” The former New England Patriots wide receiver hauled in five catches for 60 yards and a score in the win, but it was overshadowed by a seemingly botched call by the officials.
The controversial call came in the fourth quarter after an illegal touching call that negated Detroit’s two-point conversion was called.
The officials deemed Taylor Decker — who caught the two-point conversion — as ineligible despite reporting as eligible. Dan Skipper didn’t report, and the officials essentially got the two mixed up. The Cowboys went on to win the game.
Cooks and the Cowboys moved to 11-5 on the season
