‘Turtleboy’ blogger in Mass. State Police custody; to be arraigned

The man behind the controversial blog “Turtleboy” is in Massachusetts State Police custody Wednesday, officials with the Stoughton District Court confirmed to MassLive.

Aidan Kearney, 41, faces six counts of witness intimidation of a juror, police officer and court official and one count of conspiracy. Kearney was en route to the court and expected to appear for an arraignment Wednesday, a court official told MassLive.

Kearney recently posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, about law enforcement officials involved in the Karen Read case. He said on Tuesday that officials have “called my peaceful protests illegal ‘witness intimidation.’”

The blogger has reported on the case on his website, rallying supporters who believe there’s a coverup centered on Read, a woman accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe.

Other posts on X feature the blogger wearing a hoodie that says “Free Karen Read.” He was seen on video from WCVB wearing the same hoodie as he entered court.

This is a developing story and more information will be posted when available.
