The 2023 Massachusetts Democrats State Convention was held Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. Southwick delegates elected to attend the day’s event included Deborah E. Herath, Darryl J. Sak, Jane L. Stanton and Janis Prifti as alternate delegate.
As chair of the Southwick Town Committee, I also attended the convention as an ex-officio delegate. This year’s convention was an Action Agenda convention featuring workshops, social events and talks from Massachusetts elected leaders including Gov. Maura Healy, U.S. Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren. Their incredible leadership portrays the true meaning of what it means to be a Democrat. They work tirelessly in representing our foundation of values.
The energy in the room as delegates gathered from across the state was inspiring as we all came together in a unified effort to show support for our democracy.
