Police said the 81-year-old woman, from Arlington, was crossing Park Avenue on the crosswalk when she was hit.

The woman was treated at the scene before she was brought to the hospital for further treatment. Police did not specify the extent of her injuries.

The driver, a 79-year-old Arlington woman, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with an ongoing investigation, Flaherty said. She was not injured.
