5 Massachusetts counties under a wind advisory until Saturday evening

A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 12:45 a.m. valid for Saturday between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

The weather service adds, “South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”

Advance Local Weather Alerts is a service provided by United Robots, which uses machine learning to compile the latest data from the National Weather Service.
