A $5 bet ended in a jackpot prize for a slot machine player at MGM Springfield earlier this month.
On Dec. 1, the player bet $5 to win $14,722 win off of the game “Dragon Link.”
Overall, there are over 1,500 slot machines at MGM Springfield.
The Springfield casino distributed more than $100 million in jackpot prizes over the year, with July recording the highest monthly total.
The casino paid out more than $12.9 million in jackpots during July, marking the peak month for winnings during the period.
September concluded with more than $11.8 million in jackpot prizes. October and November had slightly more winnings with $11.9 million each.
