40-year-old man identified as window washer killed in fall from Boston building

A window washer who died after he fell from a building in Boston’s Financial District on Monday has been identified as Nicholas Marks, 40, of East Weymouth, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Police got a call for a worker who fell from a building in at 100 Sumner St. right before 8 a.m. on Oct. 23, according to the Boston Police Department.

Upon arrival, the worker, later identified as Marks, was pronounced dead. Police said he fell from “an unknown amount of stories.”

“Our deepest sympathies go out to Mr. Marks’s family and friends at this tragic time,” Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident along with the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
